Vietnam allows nationals of 24 countries to enter Vietnam without a visa for varying time periods. If you are a citizen or national of countries exempted for Vietnam visa, you can enter Vietnam without a visa to stay within a certain period of time. The duration of stay without a visa varies for citizens from different countries.

Notes
- If citizens from the above listed countries wish to re-enter Vietnam under visa exemption programme, the second visit cannot be made earlier than 30 days after the first visit.
- If you are not from the above listed counties or you want to visit Vietnam longer than the authorised period of stay, please arrange a visa in one of two ways: Whether you are required a visa or not, your passport should be valid for no less than 6 months prior to the trip or at least 1 month after visa expiry date and have at least one empty page left
- 1. Apply online through travel agents, visa to be issued on arrival at the airport.
- 2. Apply in person or by post to a nearby Vietnam Embassy.

Holders of diplomatic or official/service passports of Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Hungary, India, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nicaragua, North Korea, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay Venezuela, and holders of diplomatic passports only of Armenia, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland and Uzbekistan do not require a visa to visit Vietnam.
APEC BUSINESS TRAVEL CARD
Holders of passports issued by the following countries who possess an APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) which states on the reverse that it is valid for travel to Vietnam can enter visa-free for less than 60 days.
